I'm Shawdie Lemmeyer, a children’s author and the mother of Mia Andrea, the inspiration behind Mia Andrea’s Little Prayers. I grew up in Laguna Niguel, California, and moved to Northeast Ohio after my mom passed away—fulfilling the dream she had always held for our family.

My faith-filled stories are inspired by real conversations and everyday experiences with Mia. When I’m not writing or raising my daughter, you’ll usually find me gardening, growing my own fruits and vegetables, or caring for our ducks, dogs, cats, and other animals. My hope is to create stories that help little hearts grow in faith and bring families closer to God and one another.
